Twenty one

I was so sure
That a rich uncle
Or a long lost relative
A king, even
Would leave me
Riches
And goodies
Hotels and castles
Or at least
Loads of money
On my twenty first birthday.

But no one came
I waited all day
By the door
Disappointed.

Maybe they lost their way
Or maybe they are waiting
For my thirtieth birthday.
