I got my first blog award. Yay! I need to put up a post regarding that soon. But before that some much needed ranting.
Having an entire house to yourself and being in a time zone which is different from ninety percent of your contacts might be a nightmare for a lot of people. But not for me. I am not saying it is a good thing. It isn’t. Especially when you want to share something with your mom or sister or friends and you pick your your phone only to realize it is 3 AM at their place. But it isn’t all that bad either. For starters I am loving the time I have at hand now. I have almost eight hours of exclusive ‘me’ time on all days. This time leaves me free to cook, clean, read, watch movies/TV and most importantly write, at my own pace at the time of my choice. I don’t have to wait for other people to finish their work with me so that I can be alone. I am alone. And I love it.
The last one month has been action packed and hectic. And things will start getting hectic again in a couple of months. Which is why these couple of months are really important to me and I want to spend it in the best way possible. I want to make good use of the time and write a lot.
I have loved the word solitude ever since I first read the poem ‘The Daffodils’ by William Wordsworth. And I also love and value my solitude. To travel alone and photograph has been a long standing wish and I hope I get to do it in the next few weeks.
To enjoying my own company, Cheers!
