Currently reading: All the Name by José Saramago
Have you ever sat in someone else’s car, expecting nothing untoward, expecting them to be an average driver? Expecting that they would slowly accelerate? Or even fail to accelerate at all as you begin to wish in your head that they would go faster? You sit there expecting nothing unusual only to find that the driver goes from 0-60mph in less than 5 seconds and suddenly your body is pushed back with such force while the car moves ahead fast.
I have not had such an experience in a car but getting into Jose Saramago’s All the Names felt just like that. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. I randomly picked the book and now it feels like I have been sucked into a really good book.
Completed reading Right Ho, Jeeves by PG Wodehouse. While I enjoyed reading this book, after the 50% mark I found it to be slow. Reading it felt like a chore and I had to force myself to get through it. Picked up again around the 75% mark. I laughed out loud so many times because Wodehouse never fails to be funny. 3.5/5 is my rating.
